军中柔情:少将夫人归家之谜
在一片宁静的秋夜,营地上弥漫着淡淡的香烟味和咖啡的苦味。营fires crackled as soldiers sat around them, swapping stories and sharing laughter. But amidst the camaraderie, one figure stood out - a woman in her mid-40s, dressed in civilian clothes and carrying a small suitcase.
She was the wife of General Liang, the commander of the regiment. Her name was Mei, and she had been living with him in this remote outpost for several years now. She had grown accustomed to the harsh conditions and rough surroundings but still found solace in her husband's company.
As night fell, Mei noticed that General Liang seemed particularly preoccupied. He kept glancing at his watch every few minutes and occasionally pacing back and forth outside their quarters. She tried to ask him what was wrong but he just shook his head.
Finally, after hours of silence between them, he turned to her with a somber expression on his face. "Mei," he said gently but firmly," I have something important to tell you."
"What is it?" she asked nervously.
"I've received orders from higher up," he began slowly." I need to leave immediately for an undisclosed location."
Mei felt like she had been punched in the gut." Where will you be going? And when will you return?"
General Liang sighed heavily before answering." I don't know where exactly yet but it could take weeks or even months."
Tears began streaming down Mei's face as she realized how much this would affect their lives together." What about us? What about our home here?"
"We'll make do without me for now," General Liang reassured her gently." But please remember that my duty comes first always"
And so with heavy hearts they parted ways - General Liang heading off into darkness while Mei stayed behind under the stars watching over their little corner of war-torn land hoping against hope that someday soon they would all find peace again
