时间 seemed to drag on, each stroke of my pen felt like a heavy weight on my heart. I couldn't help but wonder why he chose me, a seemingly insignificant student in the class. Was it because I was good at English? Or was it just his whim?
As the afternoon wore on, the classroom grew quiet and still. My classmates were engrossed in their own work or chatting quietly with each other. But I remained focused on my task, trying to make sense of the chaos that had erupted in my life.
The bell finally rang, signaling the end of class. As we packed up our belongings and prepared to leave, he leaned over again and whispered something into my ear: "Remember your debt." The words hung there like an unspoken threat.
I left school that day feeling defeated and helpless. How did things come to this? What had I done wrong? The questions swirled in my mind as I walked home under the gray sky.
But as time went by, something unexpected happened - I started enjoying those afternoons spent alone with him. It wasn't about being forced into servitude; rather, it became an opportunity for us to bond over shared struggles.
He taught me not only grammar rules but also how to navigate difficult situations with grace and confidence. And though he never explicitly acknowledged our mutual understanding, his actions spoke louder than any words could ever say.
In hindsight, those moments when English course representative lay across from me were more than just mere coercion - they were a turning point in both our lives.
