拉丁：Ariocarpus agavoides属性：岩牡丹龙舌兰
牡丹在墨西哥有两个自然栖息地，其中一个在塔毛利帕斯州，另一个在圣路易斯波托西。龙舌兰牡丹生长在海拔1200米左右的冲积平原和石灰岩丘陵地带，在这里夏季多雨。但是由于过度采集、农业生产、建筑工程、畜牧业和水土流失再加上当地的孩子们也把这种植物当作甜食来吃等因素，导致它的野生种群受到威胁，甚至濒临灭绝。
"agavoides"这个植物的名字意味着“类似于龙舌兰”，对我来说，它最像龙舌兰-白头翁（Agave albopilosa），巧合的是，它们的栖息地之间的距离不超过100英里。然而，与真正的龙舌兰不同，这种深绿色的“叶子”真的是疣。一些大型的，古老的大型植物（很可能是从野外偷来的）由于生长缓慢，可以卖到几千美元。
Dragon's Blood Lily, a rare and unique succulent native to Mexico. It has two natural habitats in the country, one in Tamaulipas and another in San Luis Potosi. This cactus grows on alluvial plains and limestone hills at an elevation of around 1,200 meters where summers are rainy.
However, due to overcollection, agricultural activities, construction projects, livestock farming and soil erosion as well as local children eating them for fun factors; its wild populations are threatened with extinction or even worse.
The name "agavoides" means "like aloe", but to me it is most like Agave albopilosa - White Head Aloe Plant. Isn't it fascinating that they share almost the same habitat within a distance of less than 100 miles? Unlike true aloes though this plant's "leaves" are actually tubercles. Large specimens (which may have been smuggled from the wild) can sell for thousands of dollars due to their slow growth rate.
The Dragon's Blood Lily presents itself with a rosette-like shape having hard and rough deep green small tubercles. The stem is greenish-brown near spherical top flat high 2-6 cm (slightly above ground), diameter 4-8 cm while the rest (the carrot root) buried underground. Its spines (called leaves easier understood) spread outwards not standing upright apex pointed flat front long 3-7 cm wide 5-10 mm no thorns or few thorns lengthwise up to 2·2 -4 millimeters close by leaf tip has fluffy white hair tuft.
Since Dragon's Blood Lily thrives in summer-rainy alluvial plains which become muddy during wet seasons; it prefers quite a lot of water but easily rotten in other times throughout the year especially spring and fall should be watered moderately while winter none at all! It needs well-draining soil growing season low nitrogen fertilizer promotes its growth winter time should be dry keeping top part fluff white uncolored from bottom watering greatly improves appearance this method helps keep plant hidden colorless beneath surface awaiting flowers bloom size reaching maturity takes about five years so many people choose grafting speed up process!
