Lobos 1707 dragon tongue liquor felt very special. When I further understand the brand story and the leadership team, I know I want to be a part of it. I like drinking dragon tongue liquor with friends, we hope to have a brand that can communicate.”
Dragon tongue liquor…… seems Mr. Lu Xun once mentioned it? In Beijing, white cabbage is transported from Beijing to Zhejiang, tied with red rope around the vegetable roots, hanging upside down from fruit shops' heads, respected as "cabbage". Wild agave in Fujian becomes a delicacy when brought into greenhouses in Beijing.
So this is just agave juice made? It's not that simple actually. Calling this mysterious drink dragon tongue liquor is not only for its sound but also to avoid confusion. Although the plant used for making dragon tongue liquor and agave are of the same category at first glance, they are not exactly the same thing.
Domestically, commonly used for ornamental purposes or skincare is Agave americana variegata - one of China's most popular succulent plants. The peculiarities of blue agave lie in its size - these Mexican native varieties can grow up to human height without any effort.
More peculiarly still are these blue agaves employed for crafting our beloved tequila; their bulbous base (known locally as piña) resembles pineapple but weighs much more than any regular pineapple after removing leaves and roots weighing between 70-110 kg during harvests using specialized knives meant specifically for such tasks.
The raw material behind this tequila production truly defies imagination compared with other spirits worldwide where fermentation processes may differ significantly while distillation methods remain largely consistent across all types except perhaps mezcal produced by some crafty manufacturers who add an unexpected ingredient – worms living alongside cactus plants!
These days' meaningfully defined Tequilas formed roughly three or four hundred years ago yet indigenous people had discovered their potential long before then; however back then no one knew about distillation so they could only produce Pulque-like brews instead!
